STEVE Belyea
President & FOUNDER
In 1933, Steve’s grandfather built one of the first high-tech fuel delivery trucks in Canada for K.C. Irving of Irving Oil. This entrepreneurial spirit was carried through the Belyea family and after an impressive career involving aviation refueling and fleet management, Steve Belyea founded BASE Engineering in 1996.
TOBY Bourque

Before joining BASE in 2003, Toby had already established himself in the electronics field as a Director for a local consumer electronics company. With over 23 year’s experience in the remote control and electronics industry, he has helped countless companies in various industries grow their profits, increase the safety of their employees, and improve their business’ efficiency. An accomplished and ambitious individual, Toby has earned a B.B.A. from the University of New Brunswick, is a Level 3 Coach, and holds the title of Learning Facilitator with the National Coaching Certification Program.
Jill Harvey
Controller
Jill joined BASE in 2004 with over 10 years’ accounting experience in both the IT industry and public sector. Jill has since become an integral part of the BASE team and holds a professional designation as a Chartered Accountant. She is a graduate of the University of New Brunswick’s B.B.A. program.

Christina is a graduate of University of New Brunswick’s B. Eng. Program and chose to join us at BASE during her required work terms. Upon graduation, she took the title of Development Engineer, helped our engineering department thrive and has since developed into our Chief Engineer.
RICHARD FABRIZI

Richard joined BASE in July 2013 with over 13 years of Senior IT and programming experience in the petroleum industry. A graduate of Seneca College’s Computer Programming and Analysis program, his well-developed skills have allowed him to become a key player in both existing and new product design and development.

Steve joined BASE in 2012 after working in the electrical industry for 15 years. He is a electronics technician, industrial electrician and possesses knowledge on industrial instrumentation. Steve is the main point of contact for technical assistance.
MAC MCLEOD
INSIDE SALES
Mac joined BASE in 2006 after working as a fabricator, traveling repairman, and troubleshooting specialist with Irving Oil. An expert on all things BASE, Mac is the main point of contact for inside sales and offers support through technical assistance.

Christina has been a part of the BASE family for 15 years. She is a graduate of the Business Technology program at NBCC and is a member of our financial department, handling everything from accounts payable to inventory.
FRAN MCDEVITT
Administrative coordinator
Fran has been the friendly voice of BASE since 2010. With a diploma in Administrative Assistance from NBCC and soldering courses under her belt, Fran handles everything from reception, production, to order input.
Benjamin Wade
Production manager
Coming from the automotive industry as a parts and service manager, as well as a service tech, BJ started from the ground up as a system builder in 2006, and earned his way to become the current production manager & purchaser. In his 12 years of experience with BASE Engineering, BJ has been a critical asset to the company with his in depth knowledge the BASE product line.

Shipping and Receiving
Steve, who joined BASE 9 years ago, has over 25 years of shipping and receiving experience. He is responsible for all products, both incoming and outgoing, as well as all customs and import/export related affairs.
